Virginia Tech class of 2020. Majoring in Biological Systems Engineering with a focus in Environmental Health Engineering. Minoring in green engineering and cinema. Member of the Krometis Research Group, focusing on water and wastewater infrastructure case studies from the Appalachian region.
Sydney Scherer
BSE Senior
Virginia Tech class of 2020. Majoring in Biological Systems engineering with a focus on Environmental Health and Watershed Management and minoring in Classical Studies and Mathematics. President of the Virginia Tech chapter of the Gamma Beta Phi honor society. Former member of the Dr. Jactone Ogejo research team at Virginia Tech dealing with reducing nutrient pollution from agricultural waste. Current member of the Dr. Jonathan Czuba research team at Virginia Tech dealing with floodplain and streambank analysis.

Experience with floodplain and stream restoration design, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, land surveying, and water quality fieldwork.

David Sample is an Associate Professor and Extension Specialist in Biological Systems Engineering at Virginia Tech, based at the Hampton Roads Agricultural Research and Extension Center in Virginia Beach. His research and extension focus is urban stormwater management.
Dr. Sridhar
Advisor
Venkat Sridhar is an Associate Professor for the Department of Biological Systems Engineering at Virginia Tech. His research focus is on understanding on the impacts of climate change on hydrology and water resources management in various river basins in the US and in the developing world.
